Getting a degree is always beneficial in a career, but it can be difficult with some financial barriers. To cover study expenses, EMBO (European Molecular Biology Organization) is offering New Venture Fellowships for outstanding students.
Applicants for the fellowships must be active researchers with a minimum of two years of postdoctoral research experience and no more than two years as an independent group leader at the time of application. Proposed projects must significantly contribute to our understanding of biological processes and promote interdisciplinary research.
The European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) is a prominent organization dedicated to advancing research in molecular biology across Europe and beyond. Founded in 1964, EMBO promotes excellence in the life sciences through various initiatives including fellowships, courses, workshops, and conferences. It supports researchers at all career stages, from postdoctoral fellows to established scientists, fostering international collaborations and interdisciplinary approaches.
Application Deadline: Applications accepted throughout the year
Interested applicants must submit their applications online via the EMBO application system. Applications must include a cover letter, CV, copies of relevant diplomas and certificates, a list of university courses with grades, a master thesis and publications (if any), and contact information of two reference persons.
