UTHealth School of Public Health is offering a Maternal and Child Health Fellowship for outstanding candidates. The award is designed for the academic session 2024/2025.

Applicants for the Maternal and Child Health Training Fellowship must be either current or prospective students of the Maternal and Child Health certificate program at UTHealth School of Public Health. A fellow or trainee supported under this program must be a United States citizen, or, as a citizen of another country, must have been admitted to the United States with a permanent resident visa. The fellowship supports students who are committed to a career in maternal and child health.

  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must:
    • Be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in the Maternal and Child Health certificate program at UTHealth School of Public Health.
    • Be a United States citizen or hold a permanent resident visa.
    • The Maternal and Child Health Training Fellowship is available to all students at the UTHealth School of Public Health who are currently enrolled or plan to enroll in the Maternal and Child Health certificate program. In addition to the experience gained, partial tuition support of $750 per semester is available for students selected for the fellowship.

       

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Fellowship Application (available during the application period) and gain concurrent admission to either the MCH Certificate program or the MCH Concentration. The application deadline is typically announced each spring for the following academic year.

 

Benefits

Fellows receive partial tuition support of $750 per semester and are required to complete a two-semester commitment, including core seminars, experiential placements, and participation in leadership training. The program offers an immersive experience in maternal and child health practice and leadership development.
