MPOWER Financing Monthly Scholarship in USA or Canada
Description
MPOWER Financing is awarding US$48,000 this year to help 36 international students fund their education dreams. The program is open for the academic session 2024/2025.
To be eligible for the MPOWER Monthly Scholarship, applicants must be international students enrolled in or accepted to a full-time degree program at one of the 400+ U.S. or Canadian universities supported by MPOWER. They must have a valid student visa or study permit for the respective country. U.S. citizens studying in the U.S. and Canadian citizens studying in Canada are not eligible.

Eligibility
- Eligible Countries: All countries except U.S. and Canadian citizens studying in their home countries
- Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the supported universities.
- Admissible Criteria:
- Be admitted to, or enrolled in, a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports
- Be an international student permitted to legally study in the U.S. or Canada:
- For study in the U.S.: valid visa permitting study, or protected under DACA
- For study in Canada: valid Canadian study permit

- Essay Requirement: Submit an essay (200–500 words) on how you support the advancement of LGBTQ+ rights around the world, including the impact of your LGBTQ+ experiences on your academic work if relevant.
- Submission: Ensure all required fields and the essay are completed before submission.
