The Prism Foundation is excited to announce the opening of applications for its 2024 scholarships! These scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, aim to empower outstanding students who are making a positive impact on the Asian & Pacific Islander (API) and LGBTQIA+ communities.
Scholarships are available to both undergraduate and graduate students attending accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States. The scholarship is open to students from all countries and includes those attending community colleges, universities, and trade/vocational schools.
The Prism Foundation, formerly known as the GAPA Foundation, provides scholarships to outstanding students who are making a positive impact on the Asian & Pacific Islander LGBTQ+ community. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Prism Foundation is dedicated to exploring critical issues that affect the Asian & Pacific Islander LGBTQIA+ community and supporting innovative programs and individuals seeking solutions to those issues.
Application Deadline: Applications are due on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 11:59:59 PM PT. Late applications will not be considered. Applicants can apply online using a Google account.
Eligible candidates must complete an application form, including short response questions and one essay prompt. The following supporting documents are required:
Recipients of the Prism Foundation Scholarship will receive awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. The scholarship funds will be mailed directly to the financial aid office at the recipient’s institution. Recipients may be required to send a video testimonial and may have portions of their application used for Prism Foundation’s publications and reports. An award ceremony is typically hosted at the Community Connections event in the Bay Area.
